How do I choose between a saltwater and chlorine system?
For shoppers who do not mind the upfront costs of the salt system unit itself and the electrical work needed to operate the system, many customers enjoy the salt pool much more. The salt system makes your pool easier to maintain and over time is more cost effective. It takes approximately 3 or 4 years to break even on the costs of the first year of the salt system versus the chlorine. The salt is also much easier on the skin, hair, and eyes if you have little ones that open their eyes underwater.
Do I need any special permits to install an above ground pool?
Customers will need to check with your local city or county building or inspections department to determine if a permit is required or not to install your above ground pool. Also, if your neighborhood is governed by a Homeowner's Association, you may want to consult their rules.
Who installs the pool?
Homeowners are responsible for installation or hiring an installer to build the pool. Discount Pools Direct does not provide installation.

How do I return merchandise?
To begin the returns process, please call our sales office at 1-800-986-0748 and speak with a sales representative. Any returns must be made within 10 days of receipt. Any carton that has been opened cannot be returned. The customer is responsible for shipping costs back to our warehouse and a 15% to 25% restocking fee on all returned items.
How long can I expect my reimbursement to take for a return?
Reimbursements can take 3-5 business days for the money to show back in your account. It depends on your bank.
