We offer free shipping on all swimming pool packages and accessories throughout the Continential United States.
We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii but shipping is not included in our prices please call for a shipping quote 800-986-0748.
All pool packages are transported by freight carriers and are CURBSIDE DELIVERY – the 47’ tractor trailer will deliver your package(s) to the end of your driveway. Freight deliveries are between 10-14 business days, depending on location and time of season. Please contact a sales representative for specific information 800-986-0748.
Please plan ahead to arrange means of getting the product(s) off the truck and to your desired location. Swimming pool packages require 2 individuals present at delivery time to get the products off the truck and moved to your desired location.
A liftgate service is available for a fee of $49, but must be requested when your order is placed. Tractor trailers with lift gates will lower the skid to the ground. Please be aware that even with this service, you will still need 2 people to move the product(s) from the curb to your desired location.
**The freight company is not required to take the product(s) off the truck nor to move the product(s) to your desired location.
Your Residence or Business must be accessible by a 47’ tractor-trailer. If the freight company cannot access your location with a tractor trailer you will need to provide an alternate location for delivery or make arrangement to pick the shipment up at the terminal.
Please let your sales representative know if the trucking company will have a problem delivering to your location at time of ordering so an alternative location can be scheduled and problems can be avoided.
If the ship to address needs to be changed after the pool has already shipped, the customer will need to pay a reconsignment fee of $29 before the change is made. Please make sure if there is a problem with the delivery location you notify your sales representative at time of order.
We pay shipping charges in advance. You are not required to pay any additional shipping charges at the time of delivery. For residential deliveries the freight company will contact you to schedule an appointment before they deliver your product(s).
Receiving Freight: Clear Delivery
Receiving freight can be as if you follow a few steps:
Stay in contact with your supplier to find out when your shipment was shipped, what carrier it was given to, and an approximate arrival date.
When the shipment is delivered, inspect it immediately for obvious signs of damage. If the packages are not intact and wrapped on a skid please compare the pieces of freight you are receiving against your sales order Any damage should be noted on the delivery receipt BEFORE SIGNING.
If the condition and quantity of your freight is acceptable, the driver will ask you to sign the delivery receipt. The driver will give you a copy, and take the original signed copy with him/her (as proof of delivery) for his/her employer's records.
The driver will help you receive your shipment and answer your questions.
A signed delivery receipt with no exceptions, is called a "clear delivery." Clear deliveries mean that there were no shortages or visible damage at the time of delivery.
If there are any exceptions please note it on the delivery receipt and once the driver leaves call us to let us know there is a problem 800-986-0748. A sales representative will walk you through the process to verify damage and get replacements.
Attention: Above Ground Pool Customers
The picture below shows how your pool should be delivered to you (there may be multiple pallets, depending on the pool package you purchased). It should be completely wrapped with the packing list attached, as shown.
If your pool pallet(s) do not look like this when the freight carrier delivers it, please compare the pieces of freight you are receiving against your sales order, please contact your sales representative with any damage or problems 800-986-0748 as soon as possible.
It is very important that the buyer follows the delivery procedure described above. If the buyer determines that all or a portion of the merchandise has been damaged, the buyer must refuse to accept the shipment or note the exact damages on the freight bill and replacement parts will be sent. Any damaged parts that are not noted at the time of receipt by the buyer will be replaced at the buyer's cost (including shipping costs), unless shipping insurance was purchased. NOTE: The customer should not refuse the entire delivery unless there is damage to 80% of the boxes.
We offer shipping insurance at a nominal cost of $99 for pool packages and $29 for accessories - damage that could only have occurred during shipping.Shipping insurance covers the replacement of damaged parts only, not the entire item. If the buyer chooses not to purchase shipping insurance at the time of purchase, all replacement items and associated shipping costs will be paid for by the buyer. Shipping insurance cannot be purchased after the item has been delivered.
Any items that are incorrect or missing from your shipment must be reported within 10 calendar days of delivery. IT IS THE BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO OPEN AND INSPECT ALL POOL PARTS TO ENSURE NOTHING IS MISSING OR DAMAGED 10 DAYS BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. Missing or incorrect parts will be shipped by UPS ground or freight carrier (whichever applies). If the buyer wants the missing or incorrect parts, that can be sent via UPS, overnighted or 2-day aired, THE CUSTOMER WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE APPLICABLE COSTS OF THOSE SERVICES.
**No Refunds or Returns are allowed on Opened or Installed Above Ground Pools or Liners, Special Order Liners, Coving, Pool Pad or Wall Foam.
**CANCELLATIONS ON ANY ITEM THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN SHIPPED FROM OUR WAREHOUSE WILL BE TREATED AS A RETURN AND ALL INCURRED FEES WILL BE APPLICABLE. A DELIVERY SIGNATURE IS NOT NEEDED FOR RETURNS IF THE CUSTOMER CANCELS THEIR ORDER AFTER IT SHIPS FROM OUR WAREHOUSE AND BEFORE IT CAN BE DELIVERED.
Returns will be accepted only up to 10 calendar days after the buyer signs for delivery or the product shows delivery through a ground carrier and only under the condition that the buyer arranges for shipping back to Discount Pools Direct and pays all applicable shipping charges incurred to and from Discount Pools Direct.
The buyer must call before returning merchandise or to cancel an order. All returns are subject to credit (amount paid for the item) minus any shipping charges incurred and a restocking fee of 15-25% due to depreciation, only after inspection of returned merchandise by Discount Pools Direct.
